2 things:

1. There's one problem with this plan. While Shades has numbers, all his friends are weak. He's the only strong one.

2: Also, I see a Paras, a Smeargle, a Clefairy, an Ariados, what I think is a Gyrados and Bugger, who you said was dead. Where did they come from?

1. There's the whole quality versus quantity thing here. While he might not have a lot of strong Pokemon on his side (at least, not ones shown in that scene), he has like hundreds of abandoned Pokemon on his side. Together, they can easily gang up on a trainer and his/her Pokemon.

2. I have all of Cil's old Pokemon there. Bugger never "died" - in this Nuzlocke, I decided to not have the Pokemon physically "die" on defeat. I chose to have Cil just pretty much abandon them afterwards. Shades rounded them up afterwards. The other Pokemon are ones that Shades also rounded up for his army- abandoned Pokemon from other trainers.
The reason I had Bugger disappear in the shadow was because I felt at that point Cil probably wouldn't leave a Pokemon to die since he was so close to the end. I also wanted to use the shadow that took Bugger to foreshadow Shades' return.

All in all, I'm not really happy as to how I ended this, but I think it works to an extent.
